What is the Rivendell Student Representative Council (SRC)?
We’re a group of Rivendell School students who come together each week to discuss ideas and ways we can improve the school. All students are welcome to join.
What are some of our initiatives?
Market stalls at Concord Hospital, where we sell items made by students, and bake sales at inter-school sports days. Money raised from the stalls goes towards school (to purchase sensory items, for example) or to charities chosen by the Student Representative Council, such as Beyond Blue.
The SRC also represents the school at events such as our end of year presentation days and Storyweavers night.
We run assemblies, generally once per term and host inter-school sports days.
A few of our student representatives also meet regularly with school executive staff to discuss SRC ideas and initiatives. We are currently planning a gardening competition for all our school programs and a welcome package for new students to the school.
When do we meet?
The Rivendell School Student representative Council usually meet on Thursday afternoons after lunch and there is always a treat to eat.
