Paterson students have been learning to play the ukulele this term. A number of the Paterson students have shown some great musical talent and have committed themselves to learning to play a couple of different types of songs.
One of our students can tune the instruments by ear, which has been both incredibly impressive and incredibly handy! Students have been learning about how to read music; the most common chords needed for beginner players; and all about different strumming patterns.
Songs that have been learned so far are Riptide by Vance Joy, Let it Be by the Beatles, Somewhere over the Rainbow by Harold Arlen and Don’t Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin.
