Drawing from Nature Workshop Campbelltown Hospital

On Tuesday this week, the students of Gna Ka Lun went on an excursion with education and health staff to an art workshop entitled ‘Drawing from Nature’ at Campbelltown Hospital.

The key focus of the workshop was to explore the natural world using a wide variety of materials and techniques. Students had the opportunity to explore found objects using magnifying glasses and microscopes.

The workshop was open to staff, patients and visitors to the hospital and was facilitated by the Campbelltown Arts Centre. The key aim of the workshop was to engage the local community in the redevelopment of Campbelltown Hospital by exploring the connection between care, well being and plants.

Our students created some beautiful art works during the workshop using charcoal, paints and coloured inks. We hope to engage in similar projects in the future!
