Rivendell Students’ Mouth-Watering Fundraiser

During the inter-school soccer match on April 10th, Rivendell students held a cake stall fundraiser. The fundraising initiative was organised by the Walker Student Representative Council (SRC) rep who, along with other students, baked up a storm for the cake stall.

Walker and Paterson students certainly proved to be the school Cake Bosses. The two programs put their baking skills to the test by making an assortment of scones, macaroons, biscuits, cakes and slices. Most of the delicious treats sold out very quickly. Paterson students’ rocky-road-crackle-cupcakes were an instant hit with staff and students. The crowd favourites were definitely the decaf coffee macaroons, and T’s famous lemonade scones with lemon curd. Delicious!

The cake stall was a huge success and all funds raised will go toward enhancing the Walker sensory room. A big congratulations to the students in the Walker Unit, and especially to the Walker SRC representative who spearheaded this fundraiser. We hope you are pleased with the outstanding result, and the rest of the school cannot wait to see what you do with the funds raised!
