Sulman Program Update – Fallen Tree

Rivendell staff and students returned to school last Monday to find one of the eucalyptus gums beyond the Sulman Program building devastated by recent strong winds. The tree, weakened by a parasitic fig tree and home to a hive of bees, lost a large section of branches. A team of arborists and tree loppers was called to the site to examine the tree and mulch the fallen branches. Some of the mulch will be used in the Sulman garden and a large smooth-barked branch has been salvaged for use as an ornamental feature in the Yaralla garden.
