Walker Students’ Newsletter Term 1 Week 4

Learning Centre News

This week we welcome new student T.S to Learning Centre One.  Welcome! It has been another extremely productive week in both classes and students are starting to get into a good study routine.

The above art work is by Walker Learning Centre student K-L.J who created the design for the task:  ‘Design an art work for the front entrance of your school.’  Nicely done K-L.J.

Following our first Walker Assembly of the year, we have started on our “Skills and Strategies for Study, Career and Life” folders.  By the end of our stay at Walker, we will have a valuable resource to take with us, full of Awards, inspiration and good ideas.

SRC Report

We will shortly be farewelling our SRC Rep from Walker.  Thanks for all your hard work E.C.  That means we will be looking for another Walker Student to take on the role.  Will it be YOU?

Jokes of the Week

  1. Never criticize someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’ll be a mile away, and you’ll have their shoes.
  2. You know why you never see elephants hiding up in trees? Because they’re really good at it.
