Learning Centre News
It has been another productive week in the Walker Learning Centre.
Walker student E.C is continuing to represent Walker at the Rivendell SRC, while also managing integration, Rivendell workshops and sport. We also have B.Y attending workshops and sport and it is great to see the students making such good progress. J.E has also been enjoying a successful integration.
In the Learning Centre 2 classroom the students have been exploring the world of colour through the colour wheel and discovering how to mix and create secondary colours using the primary colours. As a group they are creating a giant colour wheel to display and brighten up the learning centre. The students found the painting calming and enjoyable!
During class, J.E has enjoyed learning about “slang” words, while B.Y learnt about the roles different relationships play in our lives and C.M studied GM foods.
In addition, Learning Centre 1 has been extremely productive this week, in the learning centre and at TAFE. Students have also been busily exploring career and study options and becoming familiar with online study programs.
