Tomorrow is …

To date the students have been involved in poetry and sound workshops with two amazing artists named Michael Moebus and Richard Short.
Richard is poet and writer from the Sydney Story Factory (SSF). The SSF run creative writing and storytelling projects with young people all across Sydney, and Michael is a DJ and music producer with extensive experience working with young people to develop music and original sound pieces. These artists have been regularly visiting the Walker Learning Centre to run the creative workshops, and they have been a fantastic success so far.

The students are developing poems, stories, personal audio reflections, soundscapes, music and art pieces, all of which will be revealed at our second annual Storyweavers Installation and Exhibition evening at Rivendell School.
Students, families and the school community will all be invited to attend this evening and enjoy the amazing work created by the students on the 1st of November, 2017. More details about this exciting event will be announced closer to the date.

We farewell one of our wonderful students …

This week in Walker, we farewelled one of our wonderful students RB.  It is always a joy to see students go from strength to strength and move on to their next chapter in their lives.  Amanda returned especially in order to present RB with her scroll and certificate of achievement. Of note RB had a reputation for her application and skill with Art, Mathematics and Dance.  We wish RB all the best for a wonderful future!
